According to , Chelsea central defender Fikayo Tomori turned down a move to West Ham United on summer deadline day. It has been reported that West Ham had agreed a loan deal with Chelsea, but the defender decided just 10 minutes before the window shut that he did not want to make the move to the London rivals.

Valencia have announced they have agreed a deal with Spanish banking conglomerate Bankia over funding for the completion of their new ground.

Bankia will provide the La Liga outfit with a medium-term loan which will enable the club to restart work on their planned 75,000-seat arena.
